As per Solid Waste Management act 2016,(amended 2018) it is mandatory for waste incineration to be done at 950 degrees, but for small incinerators (Sanitary Napkin Incinerators) there is no specific guidelines. SWM act 2016 states that

““All the facilities in twin chamber incinerators shall be designed to achieve a minimum temperature of 950 degrees in secondary combustion chamber and with a gas residence time in secondary combustion chamber not less than 2 (two) seconds.””
